The Bolivar Davivienda foundation through one of its programs, Emprende País, accompanies companies with high growth potential in their strategic plans, with the aim of improving their performance and achieving the expected results. The program has the support of the experience and knowledge of senior executives of the Bolivar Group and a network of successful entrepreneurs at the regional level.
The program provides practical tools applied to the reality of each company with the guide of a qualified network of mentors and consultants, among which are the presidents, vice-presidents, managers and directors of the companies that are part of the Bolivar Group and successful entrepreneurs from different regions of the country, who have a professional career in various fields (finance, marketing, sales, operations, HR, technology, among others).
CESA was founded in 1975 as a private and non-profit Higher Education Institution exclusively dedicated to Business Administration. The founders, a group of leading entrepreneurs headed by former President Carlos Lleras Restrepo and Dr. Hernán Echavarría Olózaga, decided to promote this enterprise to meet the needs of a new generation of highly qualified professionals with strong leadership abilities and creativity in the field of Business Administration, for the public and private sectors of Colombia.
This effort has proved very successful. Today, CESA is known to have one of the best undergraduate programs of Business Administration in the country; its two specializations have had tremendous acceptance in the labor market and the three master’s programs are highly recognized because they address the training needs of companies worldwide. The program to support entrepereneurs leaded by Incuba – The center of innovation and entrepreneurship at CESA is recognized for the quality of its mentors and the effectiveness of its support processes guaranteeing the validation of the ideas and the high growth of the enterprises.
Connect is a non-profit organization created in 2011 with the objective of connecting and transforming Bogota and Cundinamarca into one of the most innovative regions in Latin America. It has more than 50 partner organizations, including 27 universities.
Since its inception, it has developed tech transfer and entrepreneurship programs, including a Tech Transfer Acceleration Program with University of California San Diego and Larta. Connect also acts as a Regional Tech Transfer Office for Bogota and Cundinamarca, under the mandate of Colciencias, and in the last two years has operated a Patent program and fund, which helped identify over 400 technologies with patent potential and co-financed 150 patents.
In addition, Connect Bogota has adopted the Global Connect Springboard Acceleration Program for science and tech based entrepreneurs and has developed a network of pro-bono mentors specialized in innovative startups. The organization has important capabilities in the acceleration of science and tech based entrepreneurs, commercialization of technologies and research results, intellectual property and economic valuation.
